Since our relocation to the Portland Oregon area from Southern California, professional service continued to our customers of the Greater Portland Metropolitan Area & surrounding communities. Upon settling into the new community, the owner of The Pool & Spa Medic, was hired by a premier Portland area Pool & Spa company (established in the mid 1960's) that was involved in all facets of this industry: construction of new swimming pools - residential & commercial, maintenance & repair of pools and spas, retail store & a volume dealer of a nationally renowned and respected brand name spa. He was hired as a repair technician where he became service manager of the technical service department, overseeing as many as 5 technicians, both maintenance & repair, not including himself. In 1997, Mike made a decision to leave this company & start his own business. Although the owners of that company were saddened to see him leave, they wished him luck & encouraged him to move forward. He still keeps in contact with some of the owners to this day. Within a short time, he went through all of the proper channels to be professional, licensed and legal. The Pool & Spa Medic quickly grew & had established itself as a professional service provider with many satisfied customers. With referrals & recommendations his company grew and more family members and friends joined with him and became a respected pool service company, with quite a few very satisfied customers. The Pool & Spa Medic then was contacted by different spa manufacturers, and dealers to become their "Authorized" service provider. With some prerequisites confirmed, negotiated & satisfied, our customer base increased as we started to provide warranty services for a few of the top brand spa manufacturers. Today, we still provide warranty service for Sundance Spa's, Jacuzzi Premium Spas, Columbia Spas, Del Sol Spas, Relaxation Spas & Sensation Spas. (We also provided services for Marquis Spas, until they went solely "Factory Authorized Store"; we then ceased being a service center). The Pool &Spa Medic is a licensed, insured & bonded professional service provider. With over 27 years of acquired experience (over 35 years accumulated between Mike & his personnel), we continue to attend industry seminars, workshops & factory training so that we can be current in all phases of swimming pool and hot tub technology along with trends that are important to our demanding customer.
